rope production

Did you know?
Double upcycled
Edelrid has succeeded in producing recycled ropes.
In the popular Parrot ropes, leftover coat yarn is reused and woven together. For this reason, the colorful ropes are always different in composition.
And the most sustainable climbing rope on the market also comes from our partner Edelrid. The Neo 3R is made of 50% old climbing ropes.
When we get these ropes back either as offcuts or after use on the rock or in the hall, we can then upcycle them for the second time.
upcycling textiles
waste from parasol production
The textiles we use are also not off the rack, but rescued.
For this purpose, we collect the textile offcuts from the Weisshäupl company that arise during the production of high-quality parasols and outdoor furniture in the in-house factory.
Only extremely robust and water-repellent materials, made in Germany, are used to produce parasols. The spinneret-dyed 100% polyacrylic fabric has a high color and light fastness, is weatherproof, hard-wearing, tear-resistant and easy to care for.

Paragliding umbrellas and tents
For example, in our boulder bags we also use old tents and paragliders to create a dust-tight closure. These are painstakingly cut out by hand, making each piece a unique upcycled item .
climbing harnesses
We are working on a product that completely recycles climbing harnesses . Until we have finished tinkering, we are already using the buckles that are built into the climbing harnesses. We use these as belt buckles for our retro belts . To do this, the buckles are cut off by hand and cleaned.
